The United Way of the Columbia-Willamette and Hands On Greater Portland are merging.

“In a lot of ways we have outsourced our volunteers to Hands On,” said Keith Thomajan, United Way president and CEO. “This allows us to elevate our resources for more and better volunteerism.

While the organizations are still working out logistics, Hands On will essentially become a United Way program, retaining its brand but becoming part of the United Way network.
