Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center’s new breast health center is part of a larger effort by the Gresham hospital to provide more services locally.
The $1 million center, which opened a month ago on the hospital’s Stark Street campus, is already seeing 35 patients a day.
The hospital is, in conjunction with Legacy Health’s other facilities, in the midst of a master planning process keyed to the number of patients, services and needs. A major part of that process is more outreach into the community “to keep people healthy where they live,” said Gretchen Nichols, the hospital’s chief administrative officer.
