Several commercial and residential developments are taking shape along the Interstate corridor between Northeast Columbia Boulevard and Broadway. Some of the projects, like the Prescott Apartments, have been years in the making.
The recent development push is a result of several of factors, including momentum created by PDC programs related to the Interstate Corridor Urban Renewal Area. She also cites developers increased ability to gain financing, as well as the success of non-URA corridors like North Mississippi Avenue and Northeast Alberta Street, which have seen increased rents.
