Port of Portland officials forecast continued growth, saying that Oregon international trade has nearly recovered from the recession.

Port of Portland officials forecast continued growth, saying that Oregon international trade has nearly recovered from the recession.

They expect 14.5 million passengers at PDX this year — just under the record set in 2007 — as leisure travelers follow business passengers into the skies. 

“We’re now beginning to see leisure travel come back,” said Bill Wyatt, Port executive director. “The recent increase suggests that public confidence is growing in the state of the economy.
