Online education startup Treehouse has raised $4.75 million in investment backing and is moving its headquarters to Portland from Florida.
Founded last November, the company currently has 34 employees and is in the process of adding a dozen more. It makes its training videos in an Orlando studio, but chief executive Ryan Carson lives in England.
In an e-mail, Carson said that he plans to move to Portland in September and base Treehouse’s executive and product teams here. He said he hopes to establish a base of 10 employees in Oregon.
