The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation received a $22.5 million boost.
The federal government awarded $22.5 million in bonds to the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, which could support the development of a hotel and event center.
Gary George, chief operating officer for Wildhorse Resort & Casino, said the action preserves the Tribes’ ability to receive bond financing to expand non-gaming resort amenities.
“It does not guarantee anything,” he said. “It’s not a grant. We still have to bring forth a feasible project.”
