Miami-based home builder Lennar Corp. is expanding into Portland and Seattle.
In Portland, the company hired former D.R. Horton division president Ryan Selby, who has worked in area home building for 22 years. It has bought some 200 ready-to-build lots in Portland, most of which had been repossessed by lenders.
The company is one of the nation’s largest home builders. It delivered 10,955 homes in 16 states last year and brought in $3.1 billion in revenue through home sales, financial services offerings and its investments segment.
