0911_OBTop3Oregon Business has been named one of the top three small business-to-business publications in the nation by the American Society of Business Publication Editors. The 30-year-old statewide business news magazine publication has taken top-10 honors in the Magazine of the Year competition for three years, and it is the second time it has been in the top three.

Oregon Business also received a national bronze award for front cover photo for its cover “In the Mix,” by creative director Jon Taylor Carter and photographer Paula Watts.

The national awards were in the category for publications under $2 million revenue.

The magazine also won two gold awards in ASBPE’s Western region competition. Managing editor Ben Jacklet took top honors in the feature story category for “High Times in Southern Oregon,” and editor Robin Doussard and research editor Brandon Sawyer took the gold for best research project for the 19-year-old 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon project.

Earlier this year, Oregon Business won 12 awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, including first place for General Excellence. The 12 awards by the Oregon and SW Washington chapter included nine first-place honors in the magazine’s circulation category of non-daily news publications with circulation greater than 8,000.
