A planned distribution facility at Mill Creek Corporate Center could create 500 jobs.
Local officials and a Georgia developer are discussing the construction of a distribution facility at Salem’s Mill Creek Corporate Center, which could begin in 2010 and bring 500 jobs to the area.
“This would be a single-tenant building for a client,” said Sean O’Brian, the director of development for Industrial Developments International, an industrial real estate company in Atlanta. He declined to name the client, although Salem Mayor Janet Taylor said the company planned to hire about 500 people.
O’Brian and government officials declined to place a value on the pending transaction.
