Bend has reclaimed its prerecession title as one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Click through to view six projects reshaping the city.
1. Northwest Crossing expansion

The new phase will include 175 new residences when completed in 2016. The park phase of the project has been completed.
2. St. Charles Hospital expansion

The $13 million St. Charles Cancer Center opened in July 2014.
3. OSU Cascades expansion

The OSU Cascades campus is expanding into a 4-year university. The campus is slated to open Fall 2015, despite opposition to the west side development site. The Land Use Board of Appeals is reviewing the case.
4. Galveston Corridor

The project, which is still in the public input phase,will provide multimodal options for students heading to and from the proposed OSU Cascades campus.
5. Deschutes River Water Park

The river segment of the $9.68 million project will be complete in the fall of 2015 .Park and trail construction will continue into the summer of 2016.
6. Mt. Bachelor Bike Park

The network of approved trails in Mt. Bachelor’s Downhill Bike Park is expected to be completed by the end of Summer 2015.
