Ten startups have secured venture capital, angel or seed funding in 2015.

The amount of venture capital invested in Oregon companies peaked in 2000, but had its best year since in 2014.

Compared to other states on the West Coast, venture capital is not a big economic driver in Oregon.

The companies are well known as the face of the tech boom in Oregon. Through March 12, 10 businesses were the beneficiaries of investment activity. We won’t know if the state is going to keep pace with last year until companies submit their quarterly reports. But in Q4 of 2014 11 deals were made — representing the lowest mark of that year. Of the 10 deals in 2015, six came from venture capital firms, three received angel investments and one received successful seed funding round.
