Private companies dominate the 100 Best Companies this year, as does the professional service sector. We specifically crunched the numbers on health benefits, with our analysis showing that robust health care plans were important to being a Best Company. This group offers substantial premium offsets and a surprisingly high number of alternative care and wellness plans. Most employees of the 100 Best have not worked at their companies very long (two to five years), 42% of them are under age 35, and the same percentage has advanced degrees.
