BOARDMAN — Pacific Ethanol will begin a year of construction this summer on a $50 million ethanol plant at the Port of Morrow, one of five planned for the Port. Neil Koehler, president of Pacific Ethanol, says Boardman is a good location for the plant because of its easy access to the Columbia River, railroad transportation and Interstate 84. “The design will be based on our plant currently under construction in Madera, Calif.,” he says. “Therefore, design and construction should proceed at a faster rate than the Madera plant.”
