Residential sales plummeted 35% in Central Oregon and 10% in the mid-Willamette Valley during 2007. In the Portland Metro area, new listings climbed 8% but closed sales fell 13%, while in Clark County, Wash., and Lane County, closed sales dropped 26% and 12%, respectively. Nevertheless, median sales values grew 19% in Portland, and more than 20% in Central Oregon and the mid-Willamette Valley. Nationwide, 2007 home values remained relatively flat compared to 2006.
