Samuel Hernandez, an Associate at Barran Liebman, is the recipient of a 2014 Oregon State Bar Litigation Section Rising Litigator Award.
Sam was one of four Portland-area young lawyers to receive this honor, which was presented in early March at the Litigation Section’s Annual Institute and Retreat in Stevenson, Washington. The award is a new addition to the Litigation Section’s Annual Institute and is designed to highlight “the bar’s up and coming members and acknowledge their accomplishments.”
In addition to his work at Barran Liebman, where he advises and represents business owners and management in a range of employment law matters, Sam is a member of the Oregon Army National Guard where he serves as a Light Infantry Company Commander with the rank of Captain. He also sits on the boards of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association, the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and the Beaverton Education Foundation.
