The debate over Lents is finally over after a canceled neighborhood vote. Now Merritt Paulson and Commissioner Randy Leonard are preparing to look elsewhere for a place to build a Beavers baseball stadium.
City Commissioner Randy Leonard met with Portland Beavers owner Merritt Paulson and said the two agreed to look until Aug. 1 for another location in Portland to build the stadium.
If that effort fails, Leonard said he’ll reluctantly support Paulson’s attempts to look for a ballpark outside of Portland proper.
