Ikea announced plans to put solar panels on three more of its U.S. stores, including the Portland location.
The news comes weeks after Ikea completed the installation of two electric vehicle car charging stations in the Ikea Portland parking lot.
Ikea Portland is slated to get 2,072 solar panels which will generate about 568,900 kilowatt hours per year, which Ikea estimates will be the equivalent carbon savings of taking 77 cars off the road.
