Wilsonville-based Xzeres more than doubled its second quarter sales, and expects to reach a profit within the next three quarters.

The Wilsonville-based maker of small-scale wind energy systems generated $1.37 million in sales, a 278 percent increase over a year ago and 34 percent more than in the first quarter. It’s the company’s fifth state quarter-to-quarter revenue increase in excess of 30 percent.

It posted a net loss of $1.76 million, down from a first quarter loss of $1.99 million. Xzeres CEO Frank Grecosaid the company — which formed last year with the assets of bankrupt Newberg-based manufacturer Abundant Renewable Energy LLC — should turn a profit within the next three quarters.
