Oregon announces $40M for affordable housing projects

The Oregon State Housing Council announced nearly $40 million in grants, loans and tax credits to fund low income housing.

The money will help fund 810 units in 24 projects around the state.

The Oregon State Housing Council approved the projects on Friday and will distribute $17 million in grants and loans and $22 million in tax credits to their developers. The funding comes from a number of state and federal programs. 

The projects include 166 units in Portland, as well as housing serving Arlington, Brookings, Estacada, Eugene, Hillsboro, Junction City, Madras, Medford, Mount Angel, Prairie City, Richland, Roseburg, Sandy, Sherwood, Wilsonville, Dundee and Woodburn.
