The new motorcycles will bring electric bikes closer to gas-powered motorcycles.
The new Brammo models — called Engage and Encite — will be unveiled prior to competing in a race, the MiniMotoSX, in Las Vegas on Friday.
Brammo’s agreement with SMRE designates the Ashland-based designer of electric motorcycles exclusive international license of SMRE’s patented Integrated Electric Transmission. The six speeds allow for a higher top-end speed without sacrificing acceleration performance, Brammo officials said.
