Meanwhile, tablet demand is soaring. Analysts believe Apple will sell more than 30 million iPads this year, double the 2010 total. So it’s obviously a key market for TriQuint (Apple contractor Foxconn provided a quarter of TriQuint’s revenue last year.)
TriQuint has forecast that it expects to hit $1 billion in sales for the first time this year. The iPad’s blockbuster opening weekend bodes well for that target.
