The Roost is part boutique hotel, part community gathering space and all thoughtful design and great value. Recently remodeled and revamped by Owners & Developers William and Brynn Noel of the Elkhorn Group, The Roost opened earlier this year, hosting a party of 26 friends for the Motel’s first weekend. The Noels have partnered with Bend vacation home and resort management company Meredith Lodging to handle operations.

“Brynn and I have traveled all over the United States and have loved the community experience of staying in hostels. As we’ve gotten older, we’ve come to appreciate the higher-end details that small hotels offer, too.” commented William Noel. “Our dream was to build a property that would bring together the best of both – offering guests the gathering spaces of a hostel along with the more luxurious touches of a boutique hotel. We built The Roost to be a place where travelers who appreciate these details can come together for vacations, family reunions, group trips, celebrations, weddings, or just a relaxing weekend on the river.”

Once they found the right property, the Noels focused on remodeling the building and carefully curating the guest experience. Their attention to detail is evident throughout the property’s “mountain-modern” themed rooms and common spaces. Guests checking-in to The Roost will enjoy:

· Comfortable beds and high-end linens

· 49” flat screen SMART TV’s for casting Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.

· Well-appointed bathrooms

· Community kitchen and back patio

· Complimentary coffee from BackPorch Coffee Roasters

· Honor bar featuring Humm Kombucha and Sparrow Bakery’s Ocean Rolls

· Complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property

· Pup-friendly rooms (no pet rooms available, too)

· Convenient self-check-in

As construction was nearing completion, the Noels set out to find the right local management company to take care of The Roost and Roost guests. “We needed a business partner who would understand and appreciate what we are trying to accomplish, one with a strong local presence and a talented team in place who could make The Roost experience come to life. We interviewed a handful of local management companies in Bend looking for the right fit. From the moment we met the team at Meredith Lodging, we knew we had found the right match for The Roost and for our guests.”

“The Meredith Lodging Bend team is delighted to have been chosen by William and Brynn to help them welcome guests to The Roost. We love working with partners who share the same values we work hard to uphold – a strong focus on property care, on continually raising the bar on the guest experience and a commitment to supporting local businesses whenever possible,” commented Kelly Newcombe, Meredith Lodging’s General Manager for Central Oregon.

Current efforts at The Roost to support local businesses include offering BackPorch Coffee Roasters coffee, Humm Kombucha and Sparrow Bakery Ocean Rolls to guests, with more local partnerships to come. “We look forward to continuing to share local favorite products with our guests and to find ways to expand and enhance the guest experience,” said Noel.

The Roost is now accepting single-room or multi-room group reservations – with some availability remaining for Spring Break stays and peak Summer dates.
