Don Pancho Authentic Mexican Foods won the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2010 Business of the Year award.
The food processing company employs about 270 people in Salem.
“Food businesses, typically, usually do well in a down economy,” said George Puentes, Don Pancho’s president and co-founder. During the past three years, Don Pancho has continued to expand its sales, he said.
Puentes credits the company’s success on having the right people, business sense and timing to capitalize on opportunities
