Jeld-Wen founder dies

Richard L. “Dick” Wendt, 79, one of the founders of Jeld-Wen and JWTR, died Saturday in Portland.

Wendt reportedly died Saturday night at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, where he had been hospitalized earlier after suffering a stroke. News of his death was confirmed by a local funeral home and a family friend. according to HeraldandNews.com.

No funeral arrangements have yet been announced.
