A weekly list of new hires, fires and promotions, as well as retail and restaurant openings and closings:
Portland architectural hardware manufacturer Krownlab has added two to its staff. Xavier Cuadrado will join as product operations manager, and Abigal Morgan will serve as production specialist.
Stepping into semi-retirement himself, Touchmark Founder Werner Nistler, Jr. will relinquish his CEO duties to Marcus Breuer. Based in Beaverton, Touchmark develops and operates retirement communities across the nation. Nistler will still serve as board chairman.

Klamath Falls aims to improve its retail flow with a conference aimed at consultants seeking new markets on behalf of companies looking to expand. The conference ends today, but if it worked, at least the site selectors know where Klamath Falls is.
Downtown Portland is turning into a mecca of new food and technology businesses. The latest: Local French bakery chain St. Honore Bakery is opening a fourth outpost around the corner from the Oregon Business offices on S.W. Broadway in the historic Morgan building.
After opening their first outpost five years ago, Eugene-based Sabai owners will open a second restaurant — 200 feet away. Opening a new location has been a problem for restaurants in the area. Murff and Sutthiwari may have hit on a solution.
