House passes bill that could restore service to Crater Lake-Klamath airport


The U.S. House of Representative passed the “Treating Small Airports with Fairness Act” bill Wednesday.

Representative Walden says the bill will help make sure the TSA won’t stonewall agreements with small airports in the future.

In the fall, Klamath Falls had a commitment from Alaska-based carrier PenAir to bring daily flights to Portland, but the TSA said they would not be returning.

Airline service has not operated at the airport since summer 2014.
