Daimler Trucks North America will use the new research and development facility to test trucks in Madras.
The company said the strategy will bring 30-plus new jobs to the central Oregon city. The groundbreaking ceremony took place Monday.
… The facility is set to be finished in early 2017. Bend-based Kirby Nagelhout Construction will oversee the project, which will include 31,000 square feet of buildings and the two tracks.
