Intel reports best quarter, ever


Despite the recent economy, Intel reported the company’s best quarter yet and raised its profit outlook.

Intel announced that the company experienced its best quarter yet, and raised its profit outlook for the rest of the year.

Despite the economy, Intel is experiencing growth mainly due to an increased demand for servers.

“Intel growth continues to run ahead of economic growth, reflecting what we believe is a fundamental shift driven by Internet adoption,” Chief Executive Paul Otellini told investment analysts on a conference call Tuesday.

Its second-quarter revenues totaled $10.77 billion, Intel’s best three months ever. Sales were up 34 percent from the second quarter last year and well above the $10.3 billion that analysts had forecast.
