Revered course near the Nike campus sold.

Escalante Golf, of Texas, bought the high-end Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

“Pumpkin Ridge’s strong tournament heritage, impressive architectural pedigree, beautiful setting and outstanding national reputation make it an ideal addition to our family,” president of Escalante Golf David McDonald said in a news release.

Pumpkin Ridge has hosted Nike Tour events as well as the 2003 U.S. Women’s Open championship and, between 2009 and 2012, the Safeway Classic.

It also hosted one of the most-watched U.S. Amateur tournaments of all time: the 1996 classic at which Tiger Woods won his third straight title.
