Makad Corp. is finalizing a 30-year lease for a 12-acre property Airport Road in Pendleton.

The city extended the road about six years ago to entice businesses.

[Economic Development Director Steve] Chrisman wrote that the data center could generate as much as 45 jobs and is a good fit for the industrial park.

Chrisman wrote the city could receive $295,970 in tax revenue in the next 25-27 years, plus $826,612 over 28 years through rental fees, not including the CPI increases.
