The lawsuit, filed this week in U.S. District Court in Medford, says Oregon Tech entered a $162,500 contract in 2011 with Texas-based Hydro Resources West to design and manufacture a pump that would transfer a continuous supply of water from a geothermal well on campus to the turbine that is used to generate power.
