BD2F0188Oregon Business magazine has named the sixth annual 100 Best Nonprofits to Work for in Oregon. The rankings were revealed Wednesday night during an awards dinner at the Portland Hilton.

More than 5,500 employees from 180 organizations throughout the state participated in the project. Based on the magazine’s widely regarded 100 Best Companies project, the nonprofit version was created to recognize a critical business sector that employs hundreds of thousands of workers.

About 400 people turned out for the 100 Best nonprofits awards dinner and celebration. Nichole June Maher, president and CEO of the Northwest Health Foundation, delivered the keynote speech.  OPB Morning Edition Host Geoff Norcross served as emcee.

  3. Western Rivers Conservancy
  4. Los Ninos Cuentan

The Top 3 Medium Nonprofits

  1. “I Have A Dream” Oregon
  2.   Saving Grace
  3.   Cascades Academy

The Top 3 Large Nonprofits

  1.  The Nature Conservancy
  2.   Rogue Credit Union
  3.   Energy Trust of Oregon
