OREGONLIVE.COM: Jim Scholefield will be Nike’s next chief information officer.

Scholefield, 53, most recently was chief technology officer for The Coca-Cola Co. He will join Nike on June 29, reporting to chief operating officer Eric Sprunk. Scholefield will be responsible for leading Nike’s technology strategy to support the company’s future growth, says a company news release.

At Coke, the news release says, “he was responsible for creating and executing its worldwide information technology strategy, technology operations, production support and technology engineering across The Coca-Cola Company.  That included providing global leadership across the Coca-Cola enterprise on all technology matters. “
