OREGONLIVE.COM: In time for Sunday’s Game of Thrones season premier, HBO’s streaming service launched Tuesday.

It’s initially available on Apple TV and other Apple devices and — soon — from the new streaming service Sling TV. Both services charge $15 a month, though Sling requires viewers also subscribe to its basic bundle of video channels for $20 a month. (Sling’s basic bundle includes AMC, CNN, Disney, ESPN, TNT and TBS, among others.)

The new service debuts just ahead of Sunday’s season premiere of HBO’s popular fantasy series “Game of Thrones.” HBO Now subscribers have access to all the episodes from HBO’s current series as well all the series in HBO’s back catalog, including “The Sopranos,” “The Wire” and “Sex and the City.”
