Facebook joins Fortune 500

USA Today: Facebook joined the Fortune 500 for the first time, due to its rising revenue.

Facebook entered the list at 482nd with revenue of $5.1 billion, coming in just after cellphone carrier MetroPCS being bought by T-Mobile and just ahead of utility Pepco Holdings.
The list, though, also serves as a big reminder of how relatively small Facebook is given the inordinate amount of attention it gets.
