USA Today: President Obama will stress jobs and the economy in his State of the Union speech, but will also touch on foreign policy.

Obama plans to announce he will pull 34,000 U.S. troops from Afghanistan over the next year, officials said, reducing the American presence by about half as part of a planned overall withdrawal to be completed by the end of 2014.

The president also plans to condemn North Korea’s latest nuclear test and renew his call for reduced nuclear stockpiles worldwide.
