The business community is in a decidedly more optimistic frame of mind in this year’s polling on business mood. There was a huge jump over last year in respondents saying they expected the state’s economy to improve and for their business to improve. The 567 Oregon Business readers responding also dropped their support somewhat on cutting business and personal income taxes as a way to stimulate the economy, although it is still their top worry. Attracting new business to the state was the biggest vote-getter. Research partner CFM Strategic Communications conducted the online survey in late September.
