A list of the 100 Best Small Towns in America includes five cities in Oregon, according to Livability.com.

Here are the towns with their respective rankings in parentheses:

  • Hood River (7)
  • Newport (35)
  • Astoria (47)
  • LaGrande (60)
  • Coos Bay (75)

From the Portland Business Journal:

Livability based the list on 40-plus data points, including real estate and health care. The cities ranked are homes to between 1,000 and 20,000 residents.
