The group is looking to stop the Coast Guard from closing its Newport Air Facility.

Jennifer Stevenson, president of the group, said Monday that the injunction would be filed Tuesday morning at U.S. District Court in Eugene. Portland Attorney Mike Haglund, who is expected to file the suit on behalf of the Fishermen’s Wives, will also be in attendance.

The lawsuit alleges that the Coast Guard failed to follow its own procedures in decommissioning a longstanding facility that has provided the only fast-response rescue helicopter service on Oregon’s central coast.
