Investment firm ScanlanKemperBard Cos. bought the property for $40 million.
The block — bounded by Southwest Broadway, Sixth Avenue, Stark Street and Oak Street — consists of 208,365 square feet in three interconnected buildings: the 1917 U.S. Bank Building, the 1956 Motor Bank Building and the 12-story 1906 Wells Fargo Building (not to be confused with the much taller Wells Fargo Center). It also includes a three-level parking garage.
The seller was a company controlled by Portland developer John Beardsley, who bought it from U.S. Bank in 1999.
