Oregon State University has grown 48% in seven years, compared to 19% at the University of Oregon in Eugene.

OSU’s new freshman class arrives with slightly better grades than the year before, while the UO’s dipped a little, according to figures released Monday by the respective universities.

Including students on its Bend campus and its “Ecampus” online enrollment, OSU broke the 30,000-student barrier — the biggest enrollment in school history.
