Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife statistics show the leading species was Pacific whiting, used to make artificial crab. Other leading species were Pacific sardines, pink shrimp and Dungeness crab.
Westport, Washington, was the leading West Coast port for value of fish landed with $65 million.
