The Oregon Construction Contractors Board uncovered 60 potential violations at 400 jobs sites in Portland and along the coast.

That rate of roughly 1 in 7 sites is the highest the board has seen to date, enforcement manager Stan Jessup said, though noted that this level of enforcement is relatively new.

“It’s difficult to say if that’s a high or low number because the sweeps are something they implemented just this year,” Jessup said. “Unlicensed contractors have been a problem all along.”
