GrowlerWerks LLC, which invented the uKeg, met its first crowdfunding goal of $75,000, then exceeded a second goal of $120,000 within three days.

The uKeg is a growler that keeps craft beer fresh, cold and carbonated, and the beer drinkers of the world evidently think that’s a pretty great idea.

By the end of Sunday — four days into the campaign — GrowlerWerks raised $221,713 from 1,773 backers.

That means GrowlerWerks can fund tooling for the uKeg 64, a standard half-gallon growler, and the uKeg 128: the first insulated and pressurized, one-gallon growler. The half-gallon size is $99 and the gallon-size is $129.
