The sportswear company has created more than 2,000 jobs in the state in the past two years.

The governor’s office issued a statement saying Nike’s hires satisfy an agreement made with the state to hire at least 500 full-time-equivalent employees by the end of 2016 as part of rules adopted in the 2012 Special Legislative Session to support Nike’s headquarters expansion.
