The Department of State Lands denied Ambre Energy’s appeal of a key permit for its Columbia River coal export network.

The state agency previously declined a permit request for development work in the Columbia River at the Port of Morrow’s Coyote Island facility near Boardman. Ambre and the state of Wyoming appealed the decision.

Oregon officials dismissed the appeal saying Wyoming lacks standing in the case in a ruling issued Wednesday.
