A new study shows that food costs for Oregonians would increase about $2.30 per person per year if voters pass Measure 92.
The results differ from opponents’ claims that passing the measure would drive up grocery costs by hundreds of dollars per family per year.
“The study clearly indicates Measure 92 will not increase food costs in any significant way,” said George Kimbrell, senior attorney at the Center for Food Safety’s Portland office and an author of the measure.
