Anderson said he was beginning a search for a new president of the company to succeed him in that position.
“The transformation of the Oregonian Media Group is well under way and will continue indefinitely,” Anderson said. “As chairman, I will be able to focus on strategy while turning over day-to-day operational responsibilities to a new leader. I can serve as a partner and coach in bringing a new president up to speed in how our company works, paving the way for that person to put his or her imprint on our company — as he or she certainly will.”
