Code Fellows is looking to train Rose City residents for software development jobs.

In November, Code Fellows will introduce its four-week course Foundations I. The course targets those with no background in computer science and will cover the basics of web development. This first course will run Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. from November 3 through November 26.

“Portland has emerged as one of the fastest growing tech communities in the country with a wealth of software programming and app development job opportunities,” said Code Fellows CEO Kristin Smith in a written statement. “Our aim is to help cultivate local programming talent by teaching the skills that companies of all sizes in Portland are seeking.”
