The owner of the 40 acres of farmland—the local Boresek family—has applied to have the land’s zoning changed to allow commercial development.

The land is vacant and has been used for growing grass crops. It is zoned for agricultural use but is designated in Junction City’s comprehensive plan for commercial development.

William Boresek, a member of Ivory LLC, filed the application requesting the zone change in late May. Boresek and his father, Frank Boresek, are listed in state business records as managers of Ivory LLC.
